GOLD WINGS.
We bought a pair of gold plastic wings from a cheap shop. It sounds silly, but they look surprisingly effective in context, usually on an angel with a white gown.
Lesser angels are customarily equipped with two "wings" of white material attached at one end to the middle of their backs and at the other to an elastic loop which fits over a thumb or wrist. By waving the arms fairly gently while running ( not too fast ) with small steps, a quite effective impression of flying is presented.

We use the white wings whenever we have several parts for angels, which is quite often. Occasionally we have used both white and gold wings, when the gold wings identify an angel in some sense superior to the others.
